Lola's Cupcakes and Mooboo Bubble Tea

Mentre ero a londra, ho scoperto questo piccolo kiosk/carrettino (Lola's Cupcakes) a Victoria Station, che vende i cupcakes. Io ho scelto quello al caramello salato...che delizia!:

I chose the salted caramel cupcake. Sorry, not much of it left to see!!!  

I also had to try Mooboo's bubble tea (http://www.mooboo.co) and boy was it delicious! It's a Taiwanese drink and there are lots of flavors to choose from. I chose iced vanilla milk tea with black tapioca pearls.

Poi sono andata da Mooboo per un po' di bubble tea (letteralmente the' alle bollicine o palline in questo caso), una specialità taiwanese. Ci sono vari gusti e io ho scelto il the freddo alla vaniglia con un po' di latte e le perle di tapioca nere. Una scoperta veramente deliziosa!

Mad Men Inspired Secretary Outfit

I am a Mad Men afictionado. This American TV series is set in the 1960s at an advertising agency and the clothes the characters wear are out of this world!  Do you watch the show?

Vintage Magazine Shop in London

I had such a swell time in London! 

On this one day, after taking a picture by a telephone booth and after eating a yummy bowl of ramen and bumping into an adorable English bulldog, I stumbled upon a vintage magazine store. 

It was bursting not only with old magazines but also postcards, posters, shirts and knick-knacks with images of celebrities. I was most inclined towards the Elvis memorabilia of course :) 

If you go to the shop, you'll be welcomed by Humphrey Bogart :)

Mi sono divertita tantissimo a londra. Un giorno, dopo aver posato con una cabina telefonica e mangiato una ciotolona di ramen, mi sono imbattuta in un adorabile bulldog inglese. Dopodiché ho scoperto questo negozio di riviste vintage dove vendono anche poster, cartoline, calamite ecc. con le immagine delle star. Io ero più attratta dalle immagine di Elvis of course :)

Japan Centre in London

I recently went to London for a few days (will tell you the main reason why I went there in another post). There, right by Piccadilly Circus, is 'Japan Centre' where you'll find all sorts of Japanese goods, from takoyaki to manga comics. Being half Japanese, I just had to drop by :)

Di recente sono andata a Londra per un paio di giorni (vi dirò il motivo per cui sono andata nei prossimi post). Lì accanto a Piccadilly Circus, si trova il 'Japan Centre'. Un negozio pieno zeppo di prodotti giapponesi, dal takoyaki fino ai manga. Essendo metà giapponese, non potevo non farci un salto :)

Elvis hairband from Be Bop a Hairbands

Hi guys and dolls,

Recently I discovered Be Bop a Hairbands, an adorable online shop that sells handmade, 1950s inspired hairbands. You can also purchase retro sunglasses, turbans, hair flowers and scrunchies on the site. The moment I saw the Elvis hairband though, I knew it had to be mine! :)

The creator of Be Bop a Hairbands is a lovely and talented lady. I'm thrilled to have received such a cute hairband with Elvis all over! The fabric of the hairband is great and the amazing thing is that the hairband is also reversible!

As you can see, this particular hairband has Elvis on one side and polka dots on the other side, making it really versatile.

Recentemente ho scoperto un negozio on-line che vende fasce per capelli stile anni '50, fatte a mano che si chiama Be Bop a Hairbands. Sul sito sono in vendita anche occhiali da sole retrò, turbanti e fiori per i capelli ma il momento in cui i miei occhi hanni visto la fascia con le immagini di Elvis, sapevo che doveva essere mia! :)

La creatrice di queste fasce è molto gentile e talentuosa. La fascia poi è di ottima qualità ed è molto versatile, essendo utilizzabile entrambi i lati (come potete vedere, questa fascia ha Elvis su un lato e i pois sull'altro lato).
