Now, scroll down for some pictures....and do put on your sunglasses! ;)

Here are my small teardrop earrings in light pink

See how they twinkle?? They're actually even sparklier in person!

This Desperate Beatnik brooch screams art deco!

Quì troverete pezzi colorati, stile rockabilly, gioielli divertenti ed astratti, ed orecchini e spille molto glam. ;)

Rétro Chérie

Everyone needs a bit of glamour and rock and roll in their life......
c'est obligatoire, cherie. I mean, Rétro Chérie! :)

Today, it is with great plaisir that I write about a fabulous shop called

This store, located in France, specializes in handmade rockabilly and vintage style jewelry and accessories. This is the perfect shop for nostalgic ladies and even if you're not nostalgic, let's face it: retro fashion will never go out of fashion!
At Rétro Chérie, you will find one-of-a-kind '30s, '40s, '50s and '60s style jewelry, made out of materials such as confetti lucite, celluloid and fakelite, which are perfect for that retro look! This shop not only proposes reproduction of jewelry but also creation of vintage style jewelry. Sounds like a retro paradise, right? Well, there's more! All of the gorgeous earrings and brooches from Rétro Chérie are made by........guess who?

Elvis.

Yes, you read right. Imagine my face when I received a message on my computer from Elvis!!! Rétro Chérie's owner's name is Elvis, a lovely and super talented person (and an Elvis fan, by the way), who hand-paints and hand-sculpts all of the creations from the shop. These items are carefully given birth at a workshop in Paris, called ''Treat Me Nice Baby'' (just like The King's song ;)).  In this workshop, Elvis' job is also to restore ceramic artworks to keep Paris' cultural heritage alive, which is why the items must be indeed ''treated very nice''!

Elvis' passion for the glamour, music and lifestyle of the good ol' days is more than evident. Here are a few items from Rétro Chérie, to make your knees weak:

Beautiful hoop earrings from the new collection
Which is your favorite color??
Fun Boomerang brooches from Rétro Chérie's collection, ''It's Ballroom time''
This collection is inspired by Glen Miller's song, ''Make Believe Ballroom Time''
Closeup of a brooch. Look at the incredible details! These are all works of art.
''Three cool cats'' brooches and black earrings
Purrrrrfect for cat lovers and Halloween
''Crazy Music'' sparkly, gold disc earrings
Just lookin' at them makes you wanna rock'n'roll!

Here are the earrings I'm wearing and Rétro Chérie's charm.
Check out that cool Elvis hairstyle! ;)

Bonjour!

******************************************************

I confess: I am a Rétro Chérie addict! :) I am so impressed with the style and the quality of the hoop earrings I'm wearing.  A while ago, I went to see the movie, Man from U.N.C.L.E, based on the 1964 TV series and I fell in love with the retro earrings that the actresses wear on screen. I thought it would be impossible to find these kind of earrings nowadays but Rétro Chérie proved me wrong!!

Among the items for sale, you will also find shimmery sea horse brooches, sparkly ''Martini Time'' brooch and earrings sets, Tiki, tropical and rock'n'roll style accessories. The icing on the cake is that you can also request custom orders at Rétro Chérie, so you can pick any style and color your heart desires! It doesn't matter where your heart is located because this shop offers worldwide shipping.

Rock and roll over to Rétro Chérie's shop!

Sushi Brooch by Coucou Suzette

Anyone like sushi? I sure do! I like sushi so much that I even wear it ;)
Doesn’t this sushi brooch look just like the real thing?? It’s from Coucou Suzette.

Coucou Suzette’s jewelry and accessories are all handmade by the très belle and talented, Juliette Mallet, at her workshop in Paris. Her work has a distinctive kitsch and ethnic influenced style, inspired by her travels, particularly to Japan where she continued to study Art for a period of time after studying it in Paris. In fact, you’ll notice gorgeous sushi earrings, sushi necklaces and sushi brooches in her shop. I love her maki necklace (here) and tamago sushi brooch here (perfect if you don’t like raw fish!!). Juliette’s talent doesn’t stop at sushi though.

At Coucou Suzette, you’ll find other fun pieces such as a ceramic pizza necklace, African inspired bracelets and necklaces, watermelon earrings, ice cream earrings, clay pin-up necklaces, cute pins and patches for your clothes and....boobie earrings, necklaces and rings!
I even pulled out my soy sauce and wasabi for this.
Itadakimasu! Oh this brooch also understands French so, bon appetit!
Ciao a tutti!

Tenetevi aggiornati seguendo Coucous Suzette sui siti in basso:

Just look at the rice and the glossy salmon sashimi on top! This sushi brooch was hand molded, painted and covered with shiny resin. Juliette loves making these so you’ll notice many items that are made out of glazed ceramic at Coucou Suzette.

I loved the beautiful packaging too.... look at those funny sumo wrestlers on the envelope! They better stay away from my nigiri!! Coucou Suzette offers worldwide delivery and the delivery was très quick indeed.

Do note that all items from Coucou Suzette are unique and very limited. You can keep track of new items by following Coucou Suzette on the below sites:
