Vintage Magazine Shop in London

I had such a swell time in London!

On this one day, after taking a picture by a telephone booth and after eating a yummy bowl of ramen and bumping into an adorable English bulldog, I stumbled upon a vintage magazine store.

It was bursting not only with old magazines but also postcards, posters, shirts and knick-knacks with images of celebrities. I was most inclined towards the Elvis memorabilia of course :)

If you go to the shop, you'll be welcomed by Humphrey Bogart :)

Mi sono divertita tantissimo a londra. Un giorno, dopo aver posato con una cabina telefonica e mangiato una ciotolona di ramen, mi sono imbattuta in un adorabile bulldog inglese. Dopodiché ho scoperto questo negozio di riviste vintage dove vendono anche poster, cartoline, calamite ecc. con le immagine delle star. Io ero più attratta dalle immagine di Elvis of course :)

Japan Centre in London

I recently went to London for a few days (will tell you the main reason why I went there in another post). There, right by Piccadilly Circus, is 'Japan Centre' where you'll find all sorts of Japanese goods, from takoyaki to manga comics. Being half Japanese, I just had to drop by :)

Di recente sono andata a Londra per un paio di giorni (vi dirò il motivo per cui sono andata nei prossimi post). Lì accanto a Piccadilly Circus, si trova il 'Japan Centre'. Un negozio pieno zeppo di prodotti giapponesi, dal takoyaki fino ai manga. Essendo metà giapponese, non potevo non farci un salto :)

Elvis hairband from Be Bop a Hairbands

Hi guys and dolls,

Recently I discovered Be Bop a Hairbands, an adorable online shop that sells handmade, 1950s inspired hairbands. You can also purchase retro sunglasses, turbans, hair flowers and scrunchies on the site. The moment I saw the Elvis hairband though, I knew it had to be mine! :)

The creator of Be Bop a Hairbands is a lovely and talented lady. I'm thrilled to have received such a cute hairband with Elvis all over! The fabric of the hairband is great and the amazing thing is that the hairband is also reversible!

As you can see, this particular hairband has Elvis on one side and polka dots on the other side, making it really versatile.

Recentemente ho scoperto un negozio on-line che vende fasce per capelli stile anni '50, fatte a mano che si chiama Be Bop a Hairbands. Sul sito sono in vendita anche occhiali da sole retrò, turbanti e fiori per i capelli ma il momento in cui i miei occhi hanni visto la fascia con le immagini di Elvis, sapevo che doveva essere mia! :)

La creatrice di queste fasce è molto gentile e talentuosa. La fascia poi è di ottima qualità ed è molto versatile, essendo utilizzabile entrambi i lati (come potete vedere, questa fascia ha Elvis su un lato e i pois sull'altro lato).

The Connie Dress by Voodoo Vixen

Hello darlins,

I recently received the beautiful Connie Dress by Voodoo Vixen and I am head over heels in love with it!

Voodoo Vixen is a vintage inspired label, offering gorgeous retro clothing (www.voodoovixen.co.uk).

The Connie Dress is really eyecatching (what caught my eye is the cat eye glasses motif...meow!!!) and it's made out of high quality fabric. The dress came with a little black belt too. I'm about a size 10/12 in the UK so I chose this dress in size S and it fits perfectly.

The color of this dress is even more beautiful and vibrant in person. Check out the original criss cross neckline and those pockets! :)

It's playful, comfortable and most importantly, makes me feel like a pin up!

Recentemente, ho ricevuto il bellissimo vestito 'Connie' di Voodoo Vixen e ne sono follemente innamorata!

Voodoo Vixen è una marca di vestiti ispirata al vintage, offrendo bellissimi abiti stile retrò (www.voodoovixen.co.uk).

Il 'Connie Dress' è un vestito mozzafiato (la cosa che mi ha tolto fiato è la fantasia, il vestito è ricoperto da occhiali a gatta...miiiiau!) e la stoffa è di alta qualità. Il vestito include anche un cinturino nero. Io porto la 42/44 e ho scelto la taglia 'S' che mi sta a pennello.

Il colore del vestito è ancora più bello e vivace in persona. Guardate che scollatura particolarissima e le tasche che adoro! :)

E' un vestito sbarazzino, comodo e soprattutto, mi fa sentire una pin up!
