1950s Mexican style

Hi guys and dolls!

 Hope you are well. I'm very lucky to be still enjoying sunny and warm weather over here. In today's post, I'm wearing two Mexican flavored outfits; many people often think I'm Mexican so these two outfits really bring out the Mexicana in me! :) The first one is my authentic 1950s Southwestern patio dress and the second outfit consists of my red capri pants and black peasant/gypsy top. I'm wearing my red headscarf of course and little red hoop earrings to complete the looks. 

 My little chi is also from Mexico of course so he is just perfecto

Spero che stiate tutti bene. Nel post di oggi, indosso due outfit ispirati alla moda messicana degli anni 50. Molte persone che non mi conoscono mi scambiano per messicana quindi questi due look mettono in risalto la messicana in me! ;) Il primo abito è un autentico vestito "fiesta" del sud-ovest, degli anni 50 ed il secondo look consiste in un paio di pantaloni capri rossi e un top stile gypsy. Fascia rossa immancabile sulla mia testa e un paio di orecchini rossi completano i look. E infine, c'è il messicano doc, il mio chihuahua! <3 Hasta la vista!

In today's post, I'm wearing my authentic 1950s southwestern patio/fiesta dress and perfect for the occasion, my Irresistible Me (http://irresistibleme.com/) clip in extensions. I still can't get over how natural-looking these hair extensions are and how they are exactly the same color as my hair! I've been getting lots of compliments about my hair that has suddenly gotten so long ;)

Per il post di oggi, mi sono messa il mio vestito western, vintage degli anni 50. Questo tipo di abito viene chiamato anche "patio dress" o "fiesta dress" avendo origini messicane e nativo-americane (Navajo). Perfette per l'occasione sono le mie extension di Irresistible Me (www.irresistibleme.com). Ancora non mi sembra vero come sembrino naturali, è come se fossero miei questi capelli! Ricevo molti complimenti per i "miei" capelli, che di un tratto sono diventati lunghissimi ;) Buon inizio settimana a tutti e ricordatevi...come cantava

Cowgirls and Apples! ZAFUL Review

Howdy Guys and Gals!

Today I'm going to show you two fantastic items I got from Zaful (www.zaful.com). In my previous post, I showed you my wishlist, featuring retro inspired items from Zaful. From that post alone, you can tell what a great online store Zaful is! They sell a vast variety of clothing, swimwear, shoes, accessories in so many different styles (from vintage inspired to the latest trends). The prices are low, the quality is high and yes indeedy, they ship worldwide. 

Now, I love early country/hillbilly music and western fashion, so my eyes popped when I saw the below dress by Zaful! It's even prettier in person:

I love the flattering cut of the dress. There are two little flaps on the chest area and there are two straps which you tie into a bow behind. I just love that because it nips in the waist and plus you know, bows are pretty :) 

The material of the dress is soft and light; I wore it under the scorching sun, at the beach, at night, on an airplane and I'm surprised how comfortable it is (even after having a huge burger and even huger milkshake). In a rush, I stuffed it into my bag and scrunched it up into my suitcase but it's still in tip top shape! The color is gorgeous too, being a brick/rusty shade of red. It's available in other colors; red is my favorite but the black version is beautiful too!

What I love the most though is the fabulous print!

I think this is the kind of dress you can dress up and dress down. I'm wearing it with flat ballerinas in these photos but I've worn it with red sneakers for a more casual look and with black heels it makes for a great party dress! Oh and I'm sure it would look might swell with cowboy boots!! 

As you can see, the dress reaches right above my knees which is perfect for the summer. I've been running around in it and surprisingly the material hasn't made me sweat at all! As for sizing, I followed the size chart on Zaful's site and chose a size M, accordingly. The dress fits me perfectly; yay for precise size charts! 

You know what goes well with this cowgirl print dress?? A straw bag! 

Even better when there are apples on it!!!

Apart from being cute, whimsical and very original, it's sturdy and roomy.
