My dress from Carousel arrived!! I nearly kissed the post man!

Carousel is a vintage inspired clothing and accessories store based in Dublin, Ireland. For those who don’t live nearby, thank goodness they also have an online store: www.ilovecarousel.com

Carousel’s style is notably distinctive and as indicated on their website, it ‘‘mixes a blend of feminine, romantic prints with effortless, wearable fashion.’’ In their shop, you will find retro inspired clothing items from their own brand called Circus, and items from other vintage inspired brands, as well as authentic vintage apparel ranging from the 1950s - 1970s.

Shopping at Carousel, you will notice silhouettes of the past, pussy bows, peter pan collars, and polka dots. Talk about classy!

Carousel è un negozio che si trova a Dublino, specializzato in abiti ed accessori vintage. Vendono sia capi vintage genuini (degli anni 50 fino agli anni 70) che capi ispirati al vintage, come della loro collezione, Circus. Il loro stile è molto femminile, romantico e di classe. Hi cookies! Did you have a nice summer? Mine just flew by and I don't know where it went...anyway back to superficiality (because in moderation, it's ok ;)): do you plan your outfits the night before? I sometimes plan my week's outfits on the weekend. Saves me lots of time in the morning, when I can't find anything and nothing looks right.

Ciao biscottini, avete trascorso una bella estate? E' volata via, senza rendermene conto...comunque ritorniamo alle frivolezze (perché la frivolità in moderazione, va bene ;)). Voi pianificate i vostri outfit la sera prima? Io spesso pianifico addirittura gli outfits della settimana, durante il weekend. Così risparmio tempo la mattina, quando non trovo niente e niente mi sta bene.

The unforgettable sandwich

This is a yakisoba-sando (Japanese noodles sandwich) which I had for lunch. I remember seeing it for the first time in Japan, thinking it was strange but it turned out to be so delicious! They also had bread rolls filled with spaghetti and korokke sandwiches (potato patties inside a bread roll). Hmmm... carbs + carbs have never tasted better!

Ecco un panino al yakisoba (noodles giapponesi) che ho mangiato a pranzo. La prima volta che l'ho visto in giappone, ho pensato fosse una cosa strana ma era delizioso! Mi ricordo che c'erano pure panini riempiti di spaghetti (!!) e panini pieni di crochette di patate. Mmmmm carboidrati a volontà!

For dessert, because one must Always have dessert: vanilla macaroons

New Year, New Coat

Good evening darlins, hope you're keeping warm this February. Here it's been raining and chilly and the sun sporadically makes a guest appearance. Let's hope it gets back to work...full time and long-term! Have a good week~

Ava Gardner hair and Charlie Chaplin pants

Hello ladies and gentlemen,
Hope you are doing well and keeping warm this winter. I've been wearing my high waisted wooly pants often. You can't fully see them in these photos but they're nice and baggy. I call them Charlie Chaplin pants! The other day, one of my colleagues said that this outfit makes me look like the Great Gatsby. I was aiming more for Ava Gardner but I'll take that as a compliment :D

Spero che stiate bene e che vi state difendendo dal freddo quest'inverno. Io mi sto mettendo spesso i miei pantaloni di lana a vita alta. Non si vedono in tutta la loro lunghezza in queste foto ma sono belli larghi. Li chiamo pantaloni alla Charlie Chaplin! L'altro giorno, la mia collega mi ha detto che sembro il Grande Gatsby vestita così. Volevo assomigliare più ad Ava Gardner ma io lo prendo come un complimento lo stesso! :D

I took these pictures first thing in the morning and didn't realize my  hair was a mess. Combed it sleek right away...ah the things I do for you!
